Inspiration

Our design is inspired by the rich tradition of popular art of two emblematic regions of Mexico: Santa Clara del Cobre in Michoacán and Guanajuato.

Santa Clara del Cobre, Michoacán: This town is famous for its exquisite work in hammered copper. The artisans of Santa Clara del Cobre use ancestral techniques to create unique pieces decorated with intricate geometric and floral patterns. Each copper object, from small ornaments to large vases and trays, reflects a mixture of tradition and technical skill, providing unparalleled warmth and beauty.

Guanajuato: This state is recognized for its textile art, especially its embroidery. Guanajuato textiles are characterized by a vibrant palette of colors and a wide variety of designs that include geometric, floral and animal motifs. The techniques of hand embroidery and fraying, as well as the slabzos and woven sarapes, represent not only the craftsmanship but also the rich cultural heritage of the region.

By merging these two artistic traditions, our design celebrates the beauty of the hammered copper of Michoacán and the colorful embroidery of Guanajuato, creating a piece that honors the history and craftsmanship of both cultures.
